 Pottery Courses in 2025
Weekend Workshop:
Pottery on the Wheel Workshop
Learn to throw pots on the wheel. This workshop will be focused on basic throwing skills. Have fun learning how to centre and bring up the clay to form your own pots. We will decorate the pots using coloured slip techniques. If you are an intermediate student Pat will challenge you with ideas you will want to try.
May 17 & 18, Sat and Sun, 10am - 3pm, 2025. $185 + materials*

Pottery on the Wheel 6 Week Class:
​Have you ever wanted to throw pots on the wheel? Here is your chance.  In this class you will learn how to centre the clay and make bowls, plates, mugs with handles and a baking dish.
Tuesdays, May 20 - June 24, 10am-noon or
Tuesdays, May 20 - June 24, 5:30-7:30 pm
Six, 2 hour classes $275 +materials*

Summer Workshop, Pottery on the Wheel:
This is Pat Forst's favourite workshop because you have a complete week to concentrate solely on pottery. You are able to easily build on what you learned the day before and improve your skill on the pottery wheel. We will begin by making basic pots and then move on to learning how to make lids and handles and perhaps even make a teapot! Using  coloured slips and scrafitto you can decorate your pots. More advanced students will be challenged to make more complicated pots. 
Monday - Friday, July 7 - 11, 10am - 3pm. $475 + materials*

*Materials: $3.50/lb of clay (includes clay, glazes and firings)​
Lessons take place at Forst Pottery, 1040 Chamberlin Rd, Gibsons, BC

Refund deadline is 7 days before classes begin, there is a $30 admin fee

The friendly atmosphere of her studio and the way students encourage each other as they learn new skills is a wonderful way to learn
